If we would meet again

If we would bump
into each other
I’ll play the chump you knew;
pretend
I wasn’t dumped
by you.

And if you’ll tell me
“jump”,
I’ll feign and fake
for you;
I’ll flump myself into
your bosom plump,
so maybe later,
we could hump.

A Classical Courtship by Auguste Toulmouche

De hosts the Quadrille at dVerse and the word is “bum” (or any derivation thereof). So this is what I bumped together having some fun.

  1. Love this. This got a good laugh from me:

    “I’ll flump myself into
    your bosom plump,
    so maybe later,
    we could hump.”

    Great rhythm and rhyme scheme. I love where the prompt took you for this one. Excellent poem.

  2. Too much good stuff and fun, damn. I liked your rhyme scheme, but everything rhymed with Trump, who is on my mind.
