You, magician pulled
a carrot
from your chapeau-clack
and boastfully declared
that the flawless rabbit that
you wished to see is not
a carrot
but a lustful apparition
of a parsnip
just pretending he’s
something other than
my lonesome pipe.
A bit of surrealistic poetry written in haste for Linda’s prompt at dVerse.

Delightful! Smiling over here.
Great poem Mr. Rudberg.
Surrealism achieved!
cuteness plus factor 🙂
Smiling I am!!!! You are a surrealistic guy, Bjorn! 🙂
You had me at/ not a carrot, but a lustful apparition of a parsnip? Too much fun. I went dark with mine.
perfect. lololol
Clever, as usual!
Now that really was surreal 🙂
Your poem is most definitely surreal, Björn! I love the idea of a ‘ lustful apparition of a parsnip’.
For me, this is the best exanple of surrealism 🙂
A perfect image for an exkphrastic romp. (K)

I like the title putting magician, rabbit and carrot in an unusual situation.
