Until parting

You tornado
in tresses of hair as
you turn me
to madly be falling,

be feral,
be wild,
in an urge to get naked
and kindle the fire;

We burn as we smolder,
we phoenix from ashes
to malleable flesh;
into waves and to water
to us until morning,

when only the scent
from our parting remains.

  1. Oh Bjorn….you do know how to write these delectably sensual poems! Wow…..considering it’s 90+ degrees hot in Washington DC where we are for the month, I’d say your poem and the weather has me sizzling!

  2. Oh my goodness! How passionate, Bjorn, is your ‘urge to get naked / and kindle the fire’. I love the lines:
    ‘we phoenix from ashes
    to mallable flesh;
    into waves and to water
    to us until morning,
    when only the scent
    from our parting remains’.
