Dance me forests
flowered glades
dappled sunlight
barefoot you.
Dance me leaves
arched above
waving arms
canopy of you
Dance me oxygen
chlorophyll
breath of mine from
verdant you.
Dance me wild
bend in breeze
lullabyed by
tree of you
Today Gilena inspires us to celebrate Earth Day writing poetry that makes her dance at toads. Today my muse made write things very brief. This is my 27 month for 30 poems in March, I believe I will make it. I also link up this one to Poetry Pantry

Calming and beautiful like Mother Earth.

The refrain is so musical, so sensitive. A beautiful poem.
Gorgeous lullaby. Just gorgeous.
Peace and joy filled!
I love that painting! Trees definitely dance with the wind but they must be in the mood. Lol!
Lyrical and lovely. You’ve captured a delicacy here, that is, I think, an appropriate tone on which to pause and contemplate … the global consciousness that, I believe, Earth Day is attempting to foster.
The “barefoot you” is such an image..will stay with me for a long time!
Dancing daintily among the trees. That would be nice!
Hank
And dancing barefooted, I hope.
At least the poets love the natural world…so many don’t except as a source of wealth.
What a sublime dance – as if each depends on the other for breath and life – the third verse was the flower on the bloom for me
An absolutely joyous dance …Thank you for this one 🙂
My soul sang this song with you as I read along…what a beautiful Earth Day celebration Bjorn!
This is a a wonderful earth day poem, Bjorn. May those forests continue to dance!
A really nice structure to this one, Bjorn. Those repeated first lines really give the entire poem a sense of shape.

Lovely, Bjorn. 🙂
Moving and uplifting. I think the tree is a perfect partner.
Nice Bjorn. I like this. It reminded me of the song/poem “Dance Me” by Leanoard Cohen. Beautiful.
So much light and lovely joy in this one 🙂
This one dances, beautifully.
