This the fourth installment in “Monday finish the story” by Barbara W Beacham. The previous installments are here:
Part1, Part2, Part3
They finally made their escape; Maria glanced at her half-brother:
“This might be a little bumpy; good we had plan D.1”
The horizon behind them was a absorbed in a tangerine howl; heatwaves came right before the jeep rode forty meters on the shockwave.
“Wonder if Pa took plan E”, Pedro mused.
“Ha, I think Ma would go for F directly”
Don Francisco and Donna Juanita faced each other for the first time in decades. The soft music brought a softness to Juanitas stature:
“How sweet that they found love at last”
Don Francisco smiled but still kept a safe distance.
“I think they will be back soon — on foot”
he looked at his Rolex:
“Just about now they are out of gas — plan G”
Much later — a young couple came walking through the jungle to a seedy motel. Smiling the receptionist said:
“Welcome — your parents are in the lounge”

ha. will there be a plan Z…..
fun piece bjorn….
We’ll see.. this seems to be a dysfunctional family 🙂
Worse… Functionally dysfunctional
I’ve been away and missed your stories. I just went back and read them all. This is quite a tale of intrigue you’re weaving here. Keep up the good work.
We will see. they seem to live quite close to the edge.
Just love (and enjoying) this story.
Thank you… not really my usual style, but you have to try expanding every now and then.
Great story to go along with the others! Nice take on escape! Thank you for participating and I hope that you stay tuned for next week’s challenge! Be well! ^..^
We’ll see .. I will try ..
Ah nicely done Bjorn made me smile that last sentence.
I doubt the young couple smiled at the family reunion
Nice work Bjorn! The story unfolds ~ 🙂
Or maybe folding itself 🙂
What a unexpected addition to the saga! I was expecting more mayhem and instead we get to see a softer side of the family. I love it and can’t wait to see where you take it next. 🙂
I think it will be mayhem..
It’s never easy to escape parents like that. I wonder if they have a backup plan – there are so many twists and turns to this saga!
I have no idea either.. must be some kind of backup.
I don’t think dysfunctional is the word for that family, Bjorn. It sounds like they belong on one of those shock TV programs. A movie could be made about them. 😀 Well done. 🙂 — Suzanne
Ha.. but they seem to be functional in their dysfunctional ways
