Carpe Diem Haiku – Shiki’s “lost in the mist”

To the following haiku we should write an inspired haiku from this by Masaoka Shiki
kaerimireba yuki-aishi hito kasumi keri

when I looked back,
the man who passed
was lost in the mist

To me that moment when something is lost, slipping through your fingers I wanted to use another kigo than mist for my inspirational haiku. The moon or even moon viewing (tsukumi).

a fleeting moment
gazing at her pockmarked face –
moon behind her veil
