Carpe Diem Haiku – Richard Wright’s “violet beds”

Richard Wright wrote

I give permission
For this slow spring rain to soak
The violet beds.

And to write something in similar style I write:

Giving gratitude
To the gentle rain of spring
Bowing anemones.

  1. Once again, your attention to detail – “Bowing anemones” – brings a smile (following a visit to Wikipedia). Anemone: “daughter of the wind” or “windflower”. Love it!
