we’re lonely in our cubicles – #lqw wordle

the dread of autumn’s tungsten dearth
its rotting shrouds that fructify
nefarious booze, to drunken mirth
with lies of blissful apple-pies
we sashay to its threnodies
and warm our hands in crucibles
with false cattleya remedies
we’re lonely in our cubicles

Yet again I write to my own lqw wordle. I love complicated words, but to form them into poetry is extra fun. Autumn is here, and with that a twinge of depression.

  1. Quite a plethora of words to work with here, Bjorn. I have to say that I am very grateful never to have been forced to work in such cubicles.

  2. I’m smiling, Bjorn. At first I was about to get my dictionary. Good choice of made up words. My twin sons talked to each other with made up words before they began talking with us.

  3. Nice handling of last week’s disparate words — or what “Jim” calls “made up” words (ha) — and the irony of loneliness in a crowd (of cubicles in Autumn, and such…).
