Carpe Diem Haiku – Belief in Spirits

Not all spirits are good:

eerie smiles –
where heavy canopies
are wailing

spirit can be quite real as well:

Friday evening
yet another glass –
battered wife

But in all they can be quite nice:

when clouds are humming
secrets from the forest’s heart –
silver on my path

  1. Ooh! Arthur Dove! I discovered him at the Gallery this summer and fell in love with one of his paintings. Wrote about two of them too — his work has such a wonderful symbolism – much like Redon 🙂

    But anyway…

This was a great walk through the many aspects of “spirits” — 🙂

  2. A carefully crafted series. Yes, many views.

While I am not so sure of the reality of touching my grand-daughters cheek with the willow leaf still on the branch was a kiss from her great-grand mother – I can surely pretend it was 🙂
