Kahlil Gibran said on dreams:
“How can I lose faith in the justice of life, when the dreams of those who sleep upon feathers are not more beautiful than the dreams of those who sleep upon the earth?”

Furthermore he said:
“The flowers of spring are winter’s dreams related at the breakfast table of the angels”

spring is still asleep
just waiting
And also:
“I would not be the least among men with dreams and the desire to fulfill them, rather than the greatest with no dreams and no desires”

Wonderfully composed series of haiku Björn …. for every verse of Khalil a separated haiku …
I like that.. it’s a little bit like collaboration..
This is lovely and edifying. I must stretch a little and try something along these lines. I have read beautiful haiku, but have never tried the form – you (and others) set the bench mark very high. But, you never know, one of these days, perhaps.
The stars as a stuccoed ceiling — that’s a brilliant image 😀
I love the last one most… a clear image it produced on my mind… :-)..a wonderful series of haiku…

i have murdered a few daisies in my day
on a quest for love
These are all so brilliant, I just love the first line of each series …the imagery is quite powerful.
Beautiful poetry! I especially like the daisy one.
A wonderful sequence of haiku! Like how you walked us through the three quotes … wonderful imagery!
