Regarding walls Khalil Gibran says:
“After all this is not a bad prison; but I do not like this wall between my cell and the next prisoner’s cell; Yet I assure you that I do not wish to reproach the warder not the Builder of the prison”
loneliness –
sharing evening meal
through the wall
He also said:
“Sadness is but a wall between two gardens”
fountain sing –
but its silver cascades
remain hidden

I think Jazzbumpa may be right: The key is the fountain song.
On a Crumbling Wall
Bjorn, That’s why solitary confinement is usually such a serious punishment. Well written. —Susan
Hey Bjorn–I found the wall one especially evocative. I did not think of it as an actual wall–k.
A nice set Bjorn, I like that first haiku a lot … very strong in it’s image.
so sad .. let the fountain sing.
To be imprisoned… by ones own self – can the singing fountain soothe and calm the trapped soul? Sometimes just listening to the fountain or the rain can be a healing rhythm.
