Khalil Gibran wrote about trees:
“Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky. We fell them down and turn them into paper that we may record our emptiness”
the silence
in wake of forestry –
dries my ink
He also said:
“If you reveal your secrets to the wind you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees”
leading away
your footsteps in the sand –
whispering trees

that first one is really effective to me bjorn…it pulls me into that stillness…in the after of trees….
The silence post felling is truly eerie, as the reverberations echo inside the skull for ages. Love these!
I bow before the drying ink. There really is something sacred about it.

Oh, I don’t mind if the trees know my secrets. They only whisper them back to the wind, which already knows them!
Beautifully written thoughts.
Thank you for visiting us at The Netherworld.
really love this – a natural flow throughout
Bjorn, Lovely view of nature. 🙂 —Susan
Oh Bjorn, these two are simply super. 🙂
Two exquisite haiku, Bjorn.
I am there… in your forest and listening to the trees as my footsteps vanish in the sand…
My felled trees were gifted by high winds and possibly lightning strikes.
I see … you are exploring that all new idea which you stated in an earlier post this month Bjorn. I like this style …
I must get back to reading Khalil Gibran. Back at the beginning of time, in my university days, he was seldom far from me. Sigh.
