Beautifully written tanka
Thank you 🙂
🙂
Lovely piece and a beautiful painting to accompany it. It reminds me of the old maps that had sea monsters drawn in unknown areas. “There be monsters here.” 🙂 —Susan

Beautiful. Love the day’s reflected promises. Each day does hold new hope.
So atmospheric–loved it.
Lovely tanka…I can see the sails flapping…barely moving
Beautifully composed tanka Björn… I was a bit surprised that you posted a tanka … not a poetry form which I have seen a lot at your weblog. Thank you for sharing.
I have not written a lot of tanka so far.. but I constantly change myself.. I have written quite a lot of sonnets recently.. especially looked at different variations of rhymes… and also a little bit of very unexpected contrasts…
I like those changes in your poetry … you’re growing …
Reminds me of the dity:
“Red sky at night sailor’s delight”
“Red sky in the morning – sailor’s take warning”
What a gorgeous painting! 🙂
Loved the image of night ending in red and tangerine.
beautiful dawn, sense of breath
