tribute to a bespectacled fortuna -for dVerse

always bullet-proof – that mandatory glass
but it’s penetrated by malicious spam
from that indigo-shadowed business
when this electronic bound allegory rises
in cyber attacks from vitiligo fatsos

by exercising careful ominous dare
I shut my world from anti-pimple adverts
my inexpensive scotch sends messiah warmth
so I can leave through your luminous door
as an outcast with unloyal pariah burns

barbiturate clean my pernicious plate
as I pay tribute with American Express
to a hacker – my bespectacled fortuna
I write agreements on capricious slates
and swallowed’s another epochal persona

Today Anthony host dVerse poetics and want us to use words from the following list..
Messiah,Allegory, Luminous, Plate, Shadow, Door, Persona, Glass. Vitiligo, Epochal, Pernicious, Warmth we should use at least 5 out of the 12, but I used them all I think..

  1. You have made great use of the words and have presented us with striking imagery, Björn. You seem to be exploring darker personas (or is it personae) at the moment. People we feel we’d prefer to keep clear of.

  2. You have made great use of the words, Björn, and have ore scented us with some striking contemporary imagery. It seems you are exploring darker personas (or is it personae) at the moment.

    • Yes.. I think I am.. maybe it’s my own fears shining through.. and after the election results in the European elections there are lots of things to fear… I feel the breath of Ribbentrop and Molotov against democracy.

  3. Ah, reading your previous comment gives me a clue where the poem arose from. There do seem to be quite a few malevolent hackers writing agreements on capricious slates recently. I too took note of the election.

  4. anti pimple adverts…ha. my first thought was you wrote this from your spam…and thank goodness for spam catchers b/c they def drop some interesting stuff…and you have to wonder if there is someone gulible enough to believe them…then again, we fall for it again and again on the political spectrum…

  5. you know.. i didn’t even check out how the election results are…ugh…shame on me… but def. scares me a bit as well how things try to get out of control a bit in europe… well played björn and great use of the words

  6. talk about edgy poetics, brother, you got down hard, using all dozen words like golden bitch-slaps; & the blank verse came across hot, like beat poetry, like righteous rapping; really dug your audacity, sir.

  7. This has great cadence, and it works so well with your meaning, really adds to the piece. Loving the contrasts of how we all used the same words, fascinating.

  8. Clever pairing of words Bjorn – pernicious plate, epochal persona, luminous door ~ Reading the above comments gave me further insight on your side of the world ~ I need to check on those elections results ~

  9. “my inexpensive scotch sends messiah warmth” Loving these abstractish poems (I’m too “tightly” wound to create abstract, I think 🙂 I went for light – you darkness. (a nice contrast)

  10. The tingling of warmth with the scotch can lead to lots of freedom in thinking and inspiration. True in some instances. Great take Bjorn!

  11. I don’t know about Brillo…but, first I thought it was the spam folder of your blog site….then I understood. Clever use of all the words.
