Thank you 🙂
Thought-provoking.
Perhaps the people who’ve felt hardship themselves are better samaritans?
That is the essence of the Samaritan I think…
And therefore makes a lovely haiku… *smile* Du ser, jag lär mig!
Great take on sacrifice Björn
I have seen this. The most direct route into downtown Vancouver is along East Hastings – a street that is just a heartache of drugs, poverty and prostitution. And yet, seldom, have I driven through it that I have not witnessed valiant scenes of humanity trying to hold each other up and help each other along – outreach workers, as well as street people; and yes, I have seen cops crouched down before poor souls who need help.
You captured an entire person in so few words. So gifted! (and this made me feel immeasurably sad).
Wow, really digging this one. I love the tenderness and compassion that is displayed from subjects most find “suspect.” 上手
wonderfully crafted but the story is pathetic
Bjorn, Good poem describing what is so often true. The poor are often the first to share with their neighbors..—Susan
No worst sacrifice than on the personal physical being! Great thoughts Bjorn!

The world is more beautiful when there are selfless actions such as this. (Ironically, the prostitute is probably judged harshly by society, but does more to care for others…)
