This brought a huge smile to my face.
Bet that old tortoise wouldn’t let the temple Dogs bother him 🙂
So looking forward to blossoms of any kind here…just more snow in the forecast.
Cheers ~Jules
Only in my dreams! Still buried in snow here! I love the tortoise in your poem!
Beautiful!
yes. 😉
Well done, and I loved the humor of this piece. I could see in my mind the old tortoise covered with blossoms. He was possibly dozing in the sun. Once again you’ve found the perfect photo to accompany your work.
i love the cherry blossoms
spring is that slow turtle.
ha
All signs of much anticipated spring. Tortoise likely an ancestor of my Lucy, chomping at the bit to be outside in her now snow-covered enclosure.
A real classic Björn could have been written by one of the classic haiku-poets. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece.
I LOVE haiku…and turtles! Great feel of a haiku mind.( I love sestinas, too.
