the sweetest of dreams
flowing like silk on her skin
sharp intake of breath (JRB)
as seven kinds of flowers
tell her secrets yet unknown (Björn)
This one needs to be explained. In Sweden, it is said that girls go out alone in the midsummer’s night and pick seven different species of flowers. They then carefully put them under the pillow. In dreams they will meet the man they will marry.

Lovely Bjorn! Even without the Sweden myth this was a lovely Tan Renga.
Love the story behind this, Bjorn. Isn’t regional myth fun?
I like this kind dream…..that tells her secret not yet known.
A beautiful connection with the story … loved it 🙂
you add a bit of magic to this…the flowers telling her secrets…and that there are 7 specific kinds…that detail makes this pop…
i think it should be ‘tell’ in that last line…
This is a lovely ending, and a wonderful myth.
that’s interesting ! Wonderful twist to your addendum ! Debbie
This is a wonderful completion Bjorn. I learned some folklore too…thank you 🙂
Agreed this was such a lovely ending even without understanding the myth…oh but I love that myth 🙂
I like the continuation of this Tan Renga Björn… and thanks for the background.
What a lovely back story on this and I loved the completion:)
