Carpe Diem Haiku – Hando’s “footprints in the sand”

Inspirational haiku is Hando’s haiku:

footprints in the sand
to here and there and nowhere
and the gull flying

This reminds me of the footprints of plovers as they run back and forth in the sand. I see for myself a beach with plovers and kittiwakes.

only plovers
hear the hungry kittiwakes
this cloudy morning

  1. I love this!! And thank you for introducing me to a bird that is new to me – kittiwake! 🙂 I’m going to google the sound it makes so I can listen.
