This was a prompt found very hard, but you put a lot into it. There is that great juxtaposition there I read about but don’t dare try, between the second and third lines. Here it works, not just well, but in a way that makes one understand haiku.

The real question is: Does the OWL give a hoot? (It’s one of those strange expressions in English—every language has them—an idiom.)
