Is the devil in the details? – for trifextra

Oh hear my god of small and lesser things
to slum and poverty she joy will bring
in rain – a corrugated roof that shields
and then some ripe tomatoes from the fields

In trifextra we go divine this weekend:

Buddhist cosmology tells of Trāyastriṃśa, or the Heaven of Thirty-Three gods, which rule over the human realm. This weekend we’re asking for exactly 33 of your own words about a god of your own devising that shares heaven with the other thirty-two gods. Make it yours and have fun with it.

I hope such a god exist. But alas they say the devil is in the details. Technically my poem is an AABB pentameter quatrain.

  1. Very poignant, yet an excellent exemplification that we should all appreciate the small things, because to some they may be quite grande. Awesome write, as always.

  2. This is so beautiful with a lovely underlying message that while we are all praying for the better things of life, the less privileged need a God too-Bravo my friend!Voting for u for sure:-)
