Carpe Diem Tan Renga – Managua Gunn’s “Cricket’s last song”

Carpe Diem Tan Renga completion to Managua Gunn’s wonderful haiku.
cricket’s last song
even the prostitute hears –
stops waving her fan

I wanted to combine this with a sense of silence. A brief relapse between the dirge of her work with clients.

So this is what I came up with:

A street prostitute by Utagawa Kuniyoshi

A street prostitute by Utagawa Kuniyoshi

cricket’s last song
even the prostitute hears –
stops waving her fan

while orange harvest moon
spills gold in silent pond
