  1. So everyone who commented had a different take on your ‘cold bed’ haiku! You made it easy to step into the story! This would be perfect for a tan renga…..let everyone write their own endings.
    Here’s mine:
    failed crops
    he’s forced to work in the city.

  2. It’s the word deserted that has me wondering. If he’s out bringing in the harvest why wouldn’t she be helping him? I love that we all have our thoughts about this. Excellent, Bjorn!

  3. What everyone seems to be missing. This is a rorschac test. In the painting is a 3 legged man w/white skinny legs wearing a hat and boots (don’t you see him?). That has got to be the farmer walking home to his wife from the fields…
