Carpe Diem haiku – Southard’s “chanting frogs …”

Carpe diem today is to write an inspired haiku from this one by O. Mabson Southard:

Chanting, the pond’s frogs …
among the lilies’ dark pads –
the twinkle of stars

and to write in 575 is part of the challenge.
