Carpe Diem Special – Takahama’s chrysanthemum

Today it’s a Carpe Diem special which means we should write haiku inspired by this month’s poet Kyoshi Takahama.

a dead chrysanthemum
and yet – isn’t there still something
remaining in it?

a wonderful melancholy as I read it, so I will elaborate that a little bit.

memories linger –
between the pages of my book –
wilted chrysanthemum

after you left
lingering – the smell of you
chrysanthemum
