Today Carpe Diem Haiku offers us two write haiku inspired by Chèvrefeuille’s haiku. Kristjaan running the Carpe Diem is 50 this month, come join in the celebration. Today’s haiku is:
on my weddingday
blooming with golden flowers
the Golden Rain
Golden rain or rather Golden chain really looks like a rain of gold as shown in the painting by Stanley Spenser.

Laburnum by Stanley Spenser
bonds of love
as sealed in marriage
a golden chain

golden chain
bless marriages of spring
adorning bloom

That painting takes my breath away. Thought it was a photo. Beautiful haiku on marriage. I shall have a go. I was married on 7/22 last year. Newlywed 🙂
Oh then you should write about that 😉
I like it Bjorn – I missed this challenge I wil go see if I can find it.
found it 🙂
I agree with Maggie I had to look twice after I read her comment, the golden change…very nice.
It’s a wonderful flowering tree. I think it’s poisonous (at least as a kid I was warned against it). I was totally surprised of the painting too.
Beautiful piece, broke through my rather negative disposition on eternal union.
Honestly I think in some cases you find your soulmate early… and there you are. But in many cases not.
so so beautiful…love the ‘golden change;…awesome!
Thank you 🙂
Thank you Bjorn for sharing this wonderful set of haiku. And that painting … wow!!! … really breath taking.
Thank you , and thank you for the inspiring haiku,
Masterful as always – wonderful imagery created by words.
Thank you 🙂
perfection needs no more words…
Thank you
