Carpe Diem Haiku – Haru ta (Spring paddy fields)

Carpe Diem prompt today is Haru ta (Spring paddy fields). And I thought a wonderful prompt I widen to spring fields, and use a wonderful Van Gogh today.

The Sower by Vincent Van Gogh

The Sower by Vincent Van Gogh

after spring showers
farmers greet the rising sun
by sowing fields
~~
future sown
left to mother nature
hope of harvest
~~
swinging his hand
he spreads the harvests
of his mind

  1. “harvests of his mind” left me awestruck. All your haiku are wonderful. You must really know your art. Only a few artists I know or can recognize. Your images are always perfect.

  2. Awesome set of haiku. I like the way you have spreadend the prompt to a Western sight. And that last haiku touched me deep. That one has a spiritual layer which I like to see in haiku. Chapeau Bjorn.

  3. The vanGogh took my breath away when I saw it…perfect !
I think the haiku to go with it are wonderful and right to the prompt.
    Thank you
    Peace
