Carpe Diem prompt today is Haru ta (Spring paddy fields). And I thought a wonderful prompt I widen to spring fields, and use a wonderful Van Gogh today.

The Sower by Vincent Van Gogh
after spring showers
farmers greet the rising sun
by sowing fields
~~
future sown
left to mother nature
hope of harvest
~~
swinging his hand
he spreads the harvests
of his mind

The are all wonderful, but the third took me to the field and Vincent’s studio…thank you Bjorn 🙂
Thank you back.
always loved VanGogh and the ‘harvests of his mind’..,
Thank you 🙂
I really like the first one. I wish that would take place more often in life …
I think it can do, we just need to let it happen.
I look at the picture and think that some artwork is indeed priceless.
I think this is one of my favorite Van Gogh paintings.
harvests
of his mind — wonderful
and you always come up with the best images!
Thank you 😉
“harvests of his mind” left me awestruck. All your haiku are wonderful. You must really know your art. Only a few artists I know or can recognize. Your images are always perfect.
I visited the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam last spring… it left me with a lot of impressions.
Very nice!
Thank you 🙂
An age-old ritual, sowing the fields…
Fieldwork
Indeed… and it always seemed like a quite meditative work.
Awesome set of haiku. I like the way you have spreadend the prompt to a Western sight. And that last haiku touched me deep. That one has a spiritual layer which I like to see in haiku. Chapeau Bjorn.
Thank you Kristjaan.
Stunning Van Gogh. I like the forlorn atmosphere in the middle haiku.
Thank you 🙂
The toil of working the fields in anticipation of harvest. Nicely Bjorn!
Hank
Indeed 🙂
I love the idea of how far afield the farmer can be with his imagination 🙂
Beautiful trio my friend
I think you need to see the harvest to be able to do all the hard work of the field.
Nicely done
Thank you 🙂
Wonderful set of haiku each with a different essence ~ Enjoy ^_^
Thanks for coming by and commenting ^_^
beautiful take, B! loved them all!
I especially like the third. Menial tasks do free one’s mind.
I think a farmer like the sowing especially. 🙂
The best time for planning a book is while you’re doing the dishes. —Agatha Christie
The vanGogh took my breath away when I saw it…perfect !
I think the haiku to go with it are wonderful and right to the prompt.
Thank you
