no way…hahaha…i just wrote my OLN poem and sent it to claudia yesterday and its all about galileo….great minds eh? well at least yours…smiles…and of course he did not get away with it…didi get off a bit lucky with the house arrest….we studied him in history class just a bit back….
Interesting. Don’t know much about Galileo, but this is pretty fascinating. really like the final line, center ‘mong stars. Nice, diction and all. Thanks

This is a true “short story” and its poetic. I like how you’ve managed to do both. Love the subject as well. A legend for sure.
Goes to show a person can say a lot in a few words!! Galileo was quite a scientist for his time!
Caught him a few words, wonderful. The early astronomers never fail to amaze me, how much they discovered without all the technology we have today.

That must have been an interesting time to have lived in – one day the earth flat – then it wasn’t; one day the earth was the centre of the universe – then it wasn’t. You can understand why people reisisted having their view of the world shaken – it’s happening all around us today too. You’ve managed to capture some huge ideas in just a few short lines – a pretty impressive feat, if you ask me 🙂

I’d press “like”, but how can I with such a fantastic photo and great words for yet another exiting pope — only a few days of freedom from holy papal declarations unfortunately !
