Carried away – trifecta 33 words

I get carried away
‘cross the almost
mirror-like surface.
paddling through water
like cutting butter
with a warm knife
my goal is no-goal
of no matter
soul purpose is
just to be
here

Entry for trifecta challenge. 33 words first person narrative.

  1. Great word images. The line “like cutting butter…” meshes with the sense of being one with the water and the moment.

  2. Lovely. How cool to see you at Trifecta. Maybe you’ve entered before, but it’s been awhile. This is beautiful.

  3. Abso-freakin-lutely! My wife and I have this debate all of the time: she is the queen of the multi-taskers, whereas I have no trouble with the notion of slowing down once and awhile and just being at peace with my world. “My goal is no goal” is a great motto in this hectic world of ours. You seem so at peace. I am envious of you, for sure. 🙂

  4. When heaven choose/ to reflect & play a while here/ one’s moments stay transfixed in time.
