Carpe Diem today has a Haiku by Chiyo-Ni haiku:
the dew of the rouge flower
when it is spilled
is simply water
I choose to see a theme of lent beauty here, and rouge I read as red, Picture is from Wikimedia Commons
blood droplets
dewdrops on the rose
just water spilled
~~
stolen pride
dew drops on the petals
absorbed in soil
~~
flower gems
ruby water droplets
evaporates

The first one really reaches deep – and the ‘gem’ idea is very nice. I too looked at the idea of evaporation but in the end gave up and went cross country skiing and wrote a similar haiku based on what I saw! Nice presentation again my friend..
Thank you, I read your entry and must say you did justice to the original 😉
Love them all – the second especially.

Sorry – just read your post again.
Love the first especially!

I sense a subtle eroticism in these words

beautiful, fresh, and there is a hint of sadness
thanks for your kind visit
Just water spilled?Nothing more?
April Showers
Your final verse hints of a mysterious sadness.
ruby water droplets. lovely! 🙂
Awesome haiku series inspired on Chiyo-Ni’s haiku. ‘Ruby water droplets’ … great line.
All three are gems, but my heart goes to the first one. Lovely.
The 2nd one is my favorite 🙂
stolen pride — brilliant!
Have to read Kristjaan’s introduction to our prompt again. Your set of haiku is delicately done.
I think I like the last one the best. Flows better.
Wonderfully creative haiku with ruby drops ^_^
`ruby water droplets’ – beautiful writing. The photo is incredible.
