Līgo Haībun – Bouquet

My second Haībun at the Līgo Haībun Challenge. Go there and check it out. It’s cool stuff.

Her bouquet is that of fresh flowers, of lily in the valley and roses. Like that of a garden after spring rain. Her presence fills him with an urge to reach out and touch her smooth alabaster skin, to kiss those vermillion lips, and make her giggle with joy of their togetherness. But the chasm dividing them can never be bridged. He is immobilized by her eyes focusing on something that’s never him. And the yearning never shows on his stern face that is forever shadowed by her bright presence. They are forever doomed to stay in their parallel lifelines.

her flower bouquet
blows across dividing chasm
never together

  1. i agree. the descriptions are so very beautiful. lovely words, made me smile… even though the ending’s of course, bittersweet. 🙂

  2. Hehe! Makes me want to read another about him and his hardbody. 🙂 What a huge chasm a foot can be! But then sometimes we are touching and the chasm is wider still.
