Carpe Diem Haiku – Jazz and Friday Fictioneers bonus

The prompt for today in Carpe Diem is Jazz. Given my difficulties in finding a picture I decided reuse the excellent picture from this week’s Friday Fictioneer’s. I also can redeem myself and write about double basses instead of cello’s. Every week people from around the globe try to write a 100 word story on the same picture. If your want more info or join go to Rochelle’s page and read more.

Way less than 100 words, and I also have to admit I have been inspired by many of the excellent entries in this week’s Fictioneer’s entries.

silent double bass
the smooth rhythm of his jazz
locked away inside
~~
instrument accuse
arthritis of his hands
jazz rhythm long ago
~~
echo of his play
his nurse caresses the strings
recalls his nights of jazz
