mandarin duck –
rain falls silently
from an oak
Rain in winter in Sweden I associate with thaw, and ponds are usually covered with ice, apart from small parts kept open for the birds. So with that intro, here is my haiku for this prompt. Today I try to write even shorter to be closer to the prompt.
winter birds
drops from oak tree
breadcrumbs
~~
melting snow
rings in open water
hungry ducks
