This week 100 Words Challenge for Grown-ups is a picture which reminds me of the leftovers at dividing a cake in smaller and smaller pieces. Exactly 100 words.

Offering cake at the office was a Friday tradition, and we took turns preparing it. When it was Ebenezer’s turn everybody knew to leave our hopes for a treat at home.
He was a mean bastard, and I suspect he took a pleasure seeing his colleagues scavenging over the crumbs.
As it became my turn we were already at the Democritus stage of dividing the remaining crumbs in half. But I decided to abandon the atomic experiment.
I looked at Ebenezer, saw menace in his eyes. Then I just took the last piece of cake.
Simples!

This is very real because every office has its mean one who eats the cake others bring but never brings any himself!
Good for you! I like a decisive character!
hahaha
Atomic Theory — Perfect!
Cheers!

Love this. Every place has its own form of Scrooge, but not people with the courage to challenge that person.
I’m so glad you caught my little Scrooge reference.. Thank you
Aw – couldn’t you leave poor old Ebenezer just one quark? 😉
Funny!
