A long waiting

I seek horizon
For arrival of the ship
Waiting will be long
Border between sea and sky
Empty is of sails
My hand reach into the sand
Seashell is my gift
And from there inside I hear
Siren sing your praise
Tell that yet another day
Before we will meet again

  1. Very nice, I like very much this vision–this scene I see from reading this:

I walk along. Day after day. Looking to the sea for a ship–for a sign of my love. Growing more and more expectant, and ever more anxious. Until finally, I see a sail–which, for me is allegorical to any sign of she whom I most love.

Believe me when I say I know this feeling well!

    • In the town I grew up in there was a well known statue of the fisherman’s wife waiting for her husband to come home. So your interpretation is perfectly correct.
