I am moon, your silver maid
not your lover, not your foe
I merely listen, never play
say me secrets, whisper who
I am moon, your sentinel
a silent mirror, water, sand
I spin you dreams, I tentacle
into the deepest matter, mind
I am moon, secluded friend
not your partner, not your boss
by you I walk until your end
never faithful still with you across
as moon I spend with you a night
we stare at stars, we send songs
into the darkness, pure delight
I am moon, will make you strong.

This is exquisitely woven, Bjorn! 😀 I especially admire; “I am moon, your sentinel a silent mirror, water, sand/ I spin you dreams, I tentacle into the deepest matter, mind.” 💙💙
I added a bit of personification to the poem… hope the moon will keep you safe
Most certainly 😀
You know I’m a sucker for a moon poem, Björn, and this one is stunning. I especially love these lines:
‘I am moon, your sentinel
a silent mirror, water, sand
I spin you dreams, I tentacle
into the deepest matter, mind’.
It was fun to write it from the moon’s perspective
It looks like it was fun!
I love the what is not that follows every what is – it pinpoints by affirmation and negation to that lovely personified moon
“I spend with you a night
we stare at stars, we send songs
into the darkness, pure delight”
Yes, the negation can be very effective I think… (we had a prompt on that a few years ago)
indeed!
Even with all the details, you weave a mystery.
Mystery is good I think

This is lovely and dreamy, especially the last stanza 🤍✨🤍
Thank you so much… being moon is great
“we stare at stars, we send songs
into the darkness, pure delight”
Luv this moon poem
much♡love
Thank you so much
Thank heaven for the moon, for mystery, for beauty.
The moon is there for us if we take the time to watch
Very nice. Great sense of the moon.
Good… no lunacy in luna
you capture the majesty and magic of the moon wonderfully – and you give it voice – Jae
I would like to give the moon a voice
Very interesting poem, Bjorn.
Thank you
I love the impersonal yet intimate address here, only tangentially conscious in human ways and fuller for it.
We can always imagine…
Staring at the moon on clear nights always reminds me of our place in the universe, which, though remote and tiny, nevertheless makes me feel strength – love the last stanza Björn…
And just imagine the moon staring back at you!
There are so many poems admiring the moon: it is interesting to read the moon’s perspective. I especially like “not your partner, not your boss.”
Changing perspective always makes it more fun
Beautiful! I see the moon .. the moon sees me!
quite beautifully written!
Moon is friend to all. The ultimate social evening butterfly. Nicely done, Bjorn.
I so love the moon’s perspective. Always there from afar.
“a silent mirror, water, sand
I spin you dreams,”
