His life, a breeze,
a journey, danced with shadows;
he twisted ink to cue the spark
that opened greenbuck pockets
shimmered darkness
lulled with lies.
Lost at last
in shark-grin melt,
post-truth-bubbled bad
he leaves in skip of breath
rosebud scarred
globe-jar-spilled as Kane.
This is my Quadrille for dVerse that uses all the words up till now. For those that are not familiar with Citizen Kane, just watch it. With post-truth government I see a rise of new media tycoons. Just remember Rosebud, before it all comes to an end.

Perfection.
Love this, especially:
“shark-grin melt”
Whew.
Yours was a great inspiration
Wow…once again you have created wordplay of the highest order. Stunning.
I liked the phrase “lulled with lies”.
Brilliant Björn, I especially love ‘he twisted ink to cue the spark’ :o)
We better watch for the likes of him ~ Good weaving of words Bjorn ~
“twisting ink” – woo-hoo – REALLY REALLY IMPACTFUL!
Note to self: remember Rosebud …
he leaves in skip of breath
rosebud scarred
globe-jar-spilled as Kane.
Stupendous write, Bjorn!
Ha – this is great! And I know what inspired it!
Oh YES! Post-truth indeed. Well done!
ha – I can imagine where the inspiration came from in today’s world
A lot of twisted ink in too many sensational stories passed off as “news”!
Very cleverly done.
