I’m a grin that leaves you
twisted raving
mad in shimmer
as you dance lunatic,
moon-lulled melting
for my silver spilled.
Jarred, you twist and skip,
when nauseous green,
you froth and bubble,
You breeze away on
werewolf journey —
transformed from rose
to thorn.
I wrote a new Quadrille that also fits Grace moon-prompt at dVerse. The Werewolf myth is fascinating, though I think that poor Antoinetta was affected by a disease and not a moon-inflected fanged lunacy.

Werewolf poetry – right up my street!
Excellent use of ALL the words, and a great mashup. 🙂
Whoaaaa beautifully haunting!! ❤
Wow, I am very impressed with all the quadrille words with the my prompt. Love that:
moon-lulled melting
for my silver spilled.
You are so good at writing this genre, a bit of myth and a bit of horror. Like the ending.
What Sanaa said! 🙂
The pull to howl and dance beneath the light.
Ah, she can be such a bad influence
Writers have made the most of the werewolf trope. I wrote a story but many magazines don’t want that kind of story these days.I never tried as yet to get it published. That and glittering vampires. Maybe someday werewolves will come into favor again. Ghosts are still in favor. That little girl has a genetic problem. Good piece, Bjorn. 🙂 — Suzanne
Oh, clev-ver!
“From rose
to thorn” Great lines! 🙂
It is sort of nice that Antoinetta looks happy and frocked and painted. =) Looking at us frankly. =)
“I’m a grin that leaves you” … How reverse-Cheshire-cat of you. With him, it’s only the grin that stays.
An amazing incorporation of all the quadrille words. I very much like the beginning line which demands attention til the end.
