I don’t know if you can be political in a tanka. But at least it’s worth a try. Linked to Carpe Diem

Bjorn, Well written. 🙂 — Susan
Heartbreaking.
Hard to believe that we are unified. It all seems terribly strange–brewing forever yet sudden. Thanks. And thanks for your kind comments. (I’ve made attempts at cubist poems–but haven’t gotten any typed–just don’t know–ha!) Thanks.k.
Of course you can be political in tanka—you just were!
I think you can be political in both haiku and tanka … both are poetry forms in which you can share your thoughts and feelings. And you did great in this tanka.
Why *not* be political in a haiku or a tanka?
A very powerful Haiku!!
I’ve lost my respect for Turkey – putting national bigotry before saving a town from lunatics. Well voiced Björn.
Reblogged this on Cabin Fever.
Superb Bjorn – so well done, and yet again, probably a new genre from yourself…again!
Your haibun have been a great inspiration…
Somehow I never thought of a mortar singing. If it does, it must be an ominous song…
Firecrackers
A powerful statement!
Works for me in its sheer power.
