Ha! I get it!
Here’s the thing. I live in a bubble where I push as many envelopes as possible. I was so focused on experimenting with my own shortened
rhyme-/syllable-set to see if I could possibly wring a plausible narrative from it, it NEVER crossed my mind that the simple cadence would translate just naturally as child-like. Why not? Cuz living in a bubble makes one tone-deaf and in my case, quite literally: I was not “hearing” what was so obvious to anyone outside my bubble! I was all “Mother Goose? NURSERY rhyme? What could he POSSIBLY be talking about?”
‘Kinda funny, actually. 🙂
Anyway, I thank you, my friend, for turning up the volume…
