Carpe Diem Haiku – Jim Kacian’s “harvest dusk”

Jim’s haiku:

harvest dusk–
sitting in the wheelbarrow
with the potatoes

to which I gritily respond

by the gutter –
two old hookers share
some soggy fries

  1. Well done – says more than first appears when one remembers the source – the potatoes starting in spring, harvested in the golden light of autumn, then treated with chemicals and made into fries…and the two woman….from farm to street…I like it very much.
