procrastination is what i do best –
it’s my enemy-friend
procrastination is an art I have mastered
in my fear of success
a symptom of being a perfectionist?
I still haven’t mailed my xmas cards
procrastination is the new carpe diem
it’s my middle name
procrastination is the art
of keeping up with yesterday
the talent of the sensible and productive?
procrastination is a bitch
an opportunity’s assassin
procrastination is depicted here
part of being human
procrastination is hazardous like masturbation
procrastination is the killer of dreams
more important than sex
procrastination is neither a skill nor an artform
defined by a lack of self
the gap between intention and action
procrastination is ruining my life
but it’s the only true stress-reliever
procrastination is what i do best
Today Fireblossom asks us to do list-poem’s at Real Toads, and being a lazy guy I took the help of googlism.

Very clever, Björn. Your list made me smile. I believe there are points we can easily recognize.
Check out googlism.com if you want to be inspired.. We had a fun exercise at dVerse a while ago
Bjorn, That’s true for many of us, but you don’t seem to me to have that problem. You’re always busy with something. The photo of the polar bear is hilarious. 🙂 —Susan
I think that might be a symptom
Lots of great cadence to this Bjorn, and a slightly tongue in cheek approach only underlines the message that little bit more. I especially like this line: “procrastination is a bitch/an opportunity’s assassin..” Welcome to the garden, btw–sorry to have been absent for your arrival.
Haha! Your method in writing the poem has become a case in point of your subject! Such fun! I do love that polar bear, though I’d be happier to see it in the wild.
This made me laugh and nod in recognition!
I was going to comment, but I’ll come back and do it later 🙂
You aced it, and entertained me at the same time. As a rule I find lists so boring! Hehehe!
“procrastination is the new carpe diem” Ha!
Oh, this is sadly very funny! Procrastinate like a polar bear 🙂
Funny and even ironic. When you got to masturbation I knew you weren’t serious. Still …. But, hey, stress needs release so better may come, as you say.
I’ll come back and comment, but not right now. Maybe in a month or so? LOL. (love the lazy polar bear!)
“procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday” I love that. I think I have been doing too much of that.
I, too, am a PRO crastinator,
having long ago lost my
amateur status
Cheers!

ha. googlism poems are fun…
though i will admit, i can fall into procrastination
at times….
It is so easy to fall into procrastination, esp., when it something one dreads doing. But, not a good lifestyle, I think : ) Nice work on this.
Procrastination is “the gap between intention and action.” Great observation, Bjorn, and thanks for the introduction to ‘googlism.’ Very interesting 🙂
I LOVE this! I am the Queen of Procrastination…your masturbation line made me laugh!! 🙂
no amateur here – I’m a pro… ~
yeah… great litany. i too have a tendency to procrastinate, usually described as being “deadline-oriented.” 🙂
I can relate to being a procrastinator. I have rationalized it by saying I do my best work under pressure…
procrastination is a frenemy to many I would think.
I’ve become quite the procrastinator… I played video games on my phone for an hour tonight when I could’ve (should’ve) been writing.
