Jack Kerouac wrote this wonderful haiku
In the sun
the butterfly wings
Like a church window
I’m sticking to the theme of answering in his colleague Ginsberg’s style, the american sentence. If this is a little tongue in cheek please bear with me.
At midnight the old alley-cat sounds like a church organ out of tune.

I’ve heard a few of those cats! 🙂
Not quite as esoteric but…quite reality-based. Nothing worse than being kept awake by those toms.
Not quite as esoteric I agree.. but still like an organ of sorts.
I think this is perfect!
hahahahaha…that was an awesome response….smiles…
oy, or perhaps the organ in the church i grew up in…
maybe even a few singing along with it. lol
Wonderfully written Bjorn … I like that humor you have brought in it and so to the haiku by Kerouac.
Good and humorous piece, Bjorn. I bet that cat can handle almost anything it encounters. 🙂 —Susan
Fun … I can just see the old tom! Loved it!
Well described, Bjorn. I have heard such a cat.

LOVE THAT ALLEY CAT…AND HAIKU!
cat is smart never howls
just a zapping screeching
