Carpe Diem Haiku – Frog Tanaga

tadpoles in pond are spawning
as tender spring morn dawning
though they’re safer in numbers
crane still eats frog and slumbers

  1. Nursery rhymes have their place of importance. I like your Tanaga – but then I like all things ‘frog’. I told a story too – in a series of Tanaga.

  2. how brave of you to try. I am not sure this form with the syllabic count and short length with rhymes will work well in English without sounding like that. I do a lot of rhyming poetry but everything I thought of came out just like this. Still thinking on it!

  3. I agree that it sounds like nursery rhyme….
But nobody can ever forget the rhymes… They remain in our memories forever…
And I loved the flow and rhyming…

    Good one!

  4. That was a humorous piece, Bjorn. To protect the species, nature produces a lot of young ones because, sadly, a lot don’t make it to become adults.
