the Lotus bloomed
before the summer breath
and now I wake up (Kuheli)
her sweet perfume still lingers
echoes in my empty room

Wow that was so cool
Mm … that lingering scent of her perfume … nice continuation Björn
I can almost smell the perfume. Love how smell can linger long after its gone.
Scent, so powerful, it really does leave an echo, doesn’t it. Loved “before the summer breath”. Scent, echo, breath: all light, almost ethereal entities. Your choice of brevity of words – very cool – and perfectly captures the emptiness of the room . Beautifully penned.
Ahh! memory can’t leave us… one or other thing brings them back, always 🙂
Very beautiful.. lonely.. somber.. reminiscent.. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing and I’m so sorry I’ve been out of touch for so long!
Lovely, Bjorn, with a beautiful painting to accompany it.

i like the crossfade of senses…the smell echoing….
…knowing she will return…
At least that is the feeling I get –
very romantic ~ Jules
