Lovely little poem with a touch of humor. I’ve always liked bumble bees and have always wondered how, with those large bodies and small wings, they ever manage to fly. 🙂
this one makes me smile…the painting as well, nicely paired
it was the word drowsy..I love that word. Drowsy bumblebees sound like a comfortable hum.
loved this.
I can think of much worse places to sleep!
Battering the Magnolia
Nice place to fall asleep … that bumblebee is very clever. Wonderfully written Björn… and that woodblock-print is gorgeous.
Narcotic nectar:)
Beautiful, Björn! I can smell the heavy scent and see the bees falling asleep. 🙂
Bees rest? I suppose the magnolia blossom would be the perfect spot!
Perhaps it is their poetry in the fallen petals?
Now if we could only read their poems…buzzzz
Would be beautiful as one line too.
