Carpe Diem Haiku – Shozanji

the void
when dragonfly leaves –
silence

its canopy
shadowing the void
as thrush sings

  1. That first haiku is one that makes me sit and think – and much comes to mind. There is much there – in that void. The lack of the dragonfly’s presence is felt. I really think that is a wonderful haiku, and goes so well as a haiga. Your 2nd is so intricate, clever. I think there is no doubting it now. Every haiku you write is precise, with detailed imagery and a meaning that goes as deep as you want it to. Very fine art indeed.
