O. Mabson Southard’s haiku for inspiration at Carpe Diem:
In the garden pool,
dark and still, a steppingstone
releases the moon.
As Southard writes his haiku in 575 style I do that too.

Nuit II (Composition with Frog) by Louis Marcoussis
Unfettered silver,
moon between the steppingstones
treasure of the frogs

This haiku creates beautiful moonlit sensations for me and plays to the mystery of frogs at night. wonderful work.
Thank you.. frogs always works well in a haiku 🙂
Brilliant last line, and of course haiku.
Beautiful haiku!
Awesome beauty Bjorn …
How beautiful! To think of frog’s cherishing moonlight as much as we do.
Probably Basho’s frog
Basho’s frog seems to get around, doesn’t he? 😉
Frog treasure! What a playful image!
Releasing the Moon
Ah! That is a beautiful treasure. Lovely haiku, Bjorn! 🙂
magical…
love the image of rippling moonlight, without restraint…
my first thought came as the frog eggs being highlighted by the moon – the treasure for the life cycle of the frog. love your offering.
