Carpe Diem Challenge is two write a Tan Renga completion to the haiku by Jane Reichhold:
scattered in sand
embers of a saltwood fire
face to face with stars
— and I respond —
the two embracing footprints
disappears in the tide

The Yellow sand by Arthur Hughes
We are left with a romantic image — nice completion!! 🙂
Lovely!
Romance is in the air … a nice completion of this Tan Renga Bjorn. On the other hand it could be a tragedy of a love without approval … Well … that’s Carpe Diem …
I really strived for an ambiguous end
That picture reminds me a lot of Croyde Beach where I lived in the UK and had many such a walk with my wife when we were courting. Thank for re-kindling the memory 😉
We were thinking alike. My mind was thinking footprints washed away as well so am glad I kept what I had. What you wrote is very romantic. I have to learn to write romantic.
A perfect finish. Tan renga? that’s also new to me.
Lovely indeed!
Spot on. Like the thinking.
Nice. Made me think of a romantic evening BBQ for two enjoyed on the beach
mysterious and yet paints a lovely image 🙂
Very nice.
