Carpe Diem Special – Kyoshi Takahama’s -spring evening

Carpe Diem Special today is to write haiku in the style Kyoshi Takahama’s haiku

shutting my eyes
I find a young me found
in the Spring evening

the blackbird’s song
bring back the spring evening
I played with tadpoles

falling asleep
the smell from the garden
brings back your kiss

  1. Wow, Bjorn. You really hurled me back in time to when my girlfriend and I would go to Griffith Park (in Los Angeles area) and collect tadpoles and care for them, watching them develop into little frogs or toads or whatever they were. I loved this moment of nostalgia.

  2. how soft footed it re-enters, this nostalgic moments of childhood!!! Lovely capture indeed!! 🙂

  3. the last two lines were my favorite, I love how smell brings us back to the romance of our lives. This was beautiful.

  4. Those are two lovely images and gave me a sight of a spring we could well do with in the UK. It’s wet, cold, dark and feels wintry so these haikus were a great reminder of what it should be like.
